  • Robert, his wife Lydia and son Thomas sailed to America in 1863 on the ship Amazon.  Their daughter Ann and her son William also sailed with them.

    Evidence from emigration, newspaper, and church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund) records proves that the Munford family traveled to Utah in 1863. On the ship manifest their surname is spelled "Mumford."
