Edward Davis Wade
He likely came to Utah from California with a group of discharged Mormon Battalion veterans in either 1847 or 1848, as his name appears on the Salt Lake property list in 1848. His father, Moses, was also discharged from the Mormon Battalion in California, but came on to Utah in 1847. It is possible that Edward remained in California and returned to Utah later. He married Belinda Hickenlooper in Salt Lake City 21 January 1849 and was re-baptized 3 June 1849. He was again re-baptized in 1853 upon being called on a mission. He was a Seventy. Further research is needed to determine his year of travel to Utah and the name of the pioneer company with which he traveled.
In 1846 he was in the Iowa Mt. Pisgah Branch.
