  • Evidence from genealogical records proves that the Grant family traveled to Utah in 1851. A child was born 11 May 1851 in Iowa. The first documentation to place them in Utah is the death of Joshua in Salt Lake City 21 Nov. 1851. 

    The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Adelaide Hampton."
