        • Benjamin probably arrived in Utah in 1855. He appears in Union Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania in the 1850 U.S. census and received a Patriarchal Blessing in Salt Lake City 20 August 1855.

          He later participated as one of the rescuers that were sent out in the winter of 1856 to assist the members of the Church stranded in Wyoming.
