  • Son of George Edwin Bishop. He crossed the Atlantic with his father and siblings on the ship American Congress in 1866.  In the 1870 Utah census he was in Weber County, Utah.  Additional research is needed to identify the name of the pioneer company with which he crossed the plains.  According to a news item in the Ogden Herald (17 October 1881), 8, he was "familiarly known as Little Jimmy."
