- Birth Date
- 25 July 1857
- Death Date

His surname was listed as "Persson," in the Mormon Migration database and as "Petersson," in the "New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957," collection on Ancestry.com. The company manifest lists the surname as "Pehrsen." Later censuses indicate that the surname was Americanized to Peterson. His given name was listed as "Per," and "Pehr," in the company and ship manifests. It appears that he changed it to "Peter," late in life. The family lived in Utah for awhile but eventually settled in Colorado.
More research is needed to confirm Peter's date of death as data on Findagrave.com states that the death certificate and the headstone conflict.
