  • John is the son of Charles and Mary Griffiths Williams.  He crossed the Atlantic with his family on the ship Sailor Prince in 1848.  His mother died at St. Louis in 1850.   Charles and his sister Sarah are with their father in the 1850 Utah census which was taken early in 1851.

John does not appear on the Roundy Company roster, but it is very likely that he would have been with the rest of his family.
