  • Samuel Crook and his family (Sarah and William) were not listed on the company roster. However, Samuel was mentioned in Robert Stoney's Diary, and the family was enumerated among other company members in the 1860 Census on 30 June 1860 in Platte, Nebraska. Also, William's (Samuel's son) obituary states that he came in a handcart company.
