Ane Catherine Jensen

  • Ane crossed the Atlantic with her uncle, Gerhardt Jensen, aunt, Else Marie, brother, Frederick, and Mette Marie Holm. (Ane is the daughter of Hans Peter Jensen.) They sailed on the Forest Monarch in 1853. Ane is listed under the name "Catherine Jensen" on the ship manifest. They camped for a time at Keokuk, Iowa. Evidence from newspaper records proves that she traveled to Utah in 1853. She married Abraham Hunsuker in Utah.
