  • Charlotte arrived in New York on 14 May 1861 via the ship Manhattan. First documentation to place her in the Valley is a re-baptism in the Salt Lake 13th Ward on 17 October 1861.  A history written by her daughter indicates that she and her future husband traveled in a company led by "Captain Aspin."
