David Cluff Sr.
The Cluff family traveled to the Salt Lake Valley with the Edward Hunter Company in 1850. The family included David and his wife Elizabeth Hall, and several of their sons: Benjamin, William Wallace, Harvey Harris, Samuel Sampson, Hyrum, Henry, Alfred Aaron, and Orson. Three of their sons, Moses, David Jr., and Joseph, traveled with the Blair company.
The 1850 Utah census incorrectly shows the family's surname as "Celiff."
The family's arrival in Utah in 1850 is mentioned in the obituary of Lavina Cluff Sweat.
At the end of a mission, David returned home with the Russell K. Homer Company in 1858.
