  • Elsie is the daughter of Diderick and Maren Mortensen. She emigrated with her parents and her siblings. On the 1855 manifest of the ship James Nesmith her given name is "Elsa K."

    Diderick emigrated with his wife, Maren, and children: Bodil, Dorothea, Ann Kjerstine, Morten, Inger, Johanne, Jens, Else, and Ane Maria. They came on the ship, James Nesmith in 1855.
