  • Nils and his wife Elna came to Utah in either 1867 or 1868. They likely came in 1867, the year they took a PEF loan for their emigration and sailed to America. But the first documentation to place them in Utah are church ordinances performed in May 1869 which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to narrow the year of theirtravel. Two children may have traveled with them, but they don't show up in the Sanpete Utah 1870 census. Petronella age 3 and Erika age 1.Death date is confirmed by the Death Certificate.
