  • Daughter of Charles and Mary Griffiths Williams.  She  crossed the Atlantic with her family on the ship Sailor Prince in 1848.  Her mother died at St. Louis in 1850 but Sarah and her brother John appear in the 1850 Utah census with their father (this census was taken in early 1851).  

    The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Sarah Williams Bennion. "
