  • Evidence from census and church ordinance records proves that the Nixon family traveled to Utah in 1851 or 1852. They do not appear in the 1850 Utah census, which was taken in the Spring 1851. The first documentation to place them in Utah is an 1852 Bishops' Report. Further research is needed to confirm the year they came to Utah and the name of the company they traveled with. Some records show her give name as "Roseannah," but "Rose Hannah" is confirmed by the Eastern Idaho Death Records Database.
