  • Edward, Agnes and a child named Agnes sailed to America in 1852 on the ship Kennebec.  Their surname is spelled "Nellson" on the ship manifest.  Agnes died in May 1852, likely while crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

    Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company they traveled to Utah with.

    in 1864, Edwards served as an out-and-back teamster from Logan, Utah with the William B. Preston pioneer company.
