  • She traveled to Utah with her parents, and other family members in her father's company in 1850 as a single woman--Lydia Lake.

    She married Price Nelson in December 1850 in Salt Lake City. Lydia and her husband went on to settle in California.

    Evidence from emigration and church records proves the Nelson family traveled to Utah in 1858. Further research is needed to determine the name of the company they traveled with.They traveled from California to Utah.
