George Spencer

Facebook Twitter Print Mail
  • There is a "Geo. Spencer" who volunteered to go as a teamster, assisting in the rescue effort of emigrants stranded on the plains of Wyoming in the winter of 1856. There was more than one George Spencer in the Valley at the time. Further research is needed to determine which one of them participated in the rescue effort. It was likely George Boardman Spencer, since he traveled with Oliver Boardman Huntington during the resuce effort.
