Hosea Merrell
The Merrell family came to Utah between 1849 and 1851. The first documentation to place them in Utah are church ordinances performed in March 1852 which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to narrow the year of their travel. A family search "memory" suggests that the family traveled with Harry Walton. If this is so, the Merrell's would have arrived in 1851 as members of the Garden Grove Company.
