  • Samuel and his wife Mary Ann sailed to America in 1856 on the ship Caravan.  They had a daughter Ellen that was born on the ship. 

    Evidence from emigration and census records proves that the House family traveled to Utah sometime between 1856 and 1859. Further research is needed to determine the year they came to Utah and the name of the company they traveled with.

    Birth and death dates are confirmed by his death certificate.
