  • Mary crossed the Atlantic on the ship Windermere in 1854, arriving at New Orleans 23 April. She married Reuben Ames at Manti, Utah in October 1855. She must have crossed the plains either in 1854 or 1855. Her death date given above is from The Latter-Day Saints' Millennial Star of 17 June 1865. She died of childbirth. Additional research is needed to determine the exact year she crossed the plains and the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled.
