  • Ane crossed the Atlantic on the ship Jesse Munn in 1854. On the passenger list her given name is spelled "Anne." Some sources give her birth date as 7 Mar. 1818 and her given name as "Hanna Dorothy" or "Hannah." She may be the Anna D. Andersen who was living in the Salt Lake 9th Ward at the time of the 1856 Utah Territorial census. She married James Quaintance Powell at Salt Lake City 1 Mar. 1857. Additional research is needed to determine the exact year she crossed the plains and the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled.
