  • Christian, along with many of his children and grandchildren arrived in New York on 16 June 1860 via the ship The William Tapscott. His son, Christian, and his family are listed with the 1860 William Budge Company. However, the rest of the family is not seen with them in any of the company records. The PEF record for Christian (and likely that of his daughter Elizabetha) indicates he entered the Valley in 1861. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.
