  • The Meek family emigrated to the United States in 1850. They sailed on the ship Argo.

    She traveled to Utah by 1853 because she was rebaptized in Salt Lake City on 29 Nov. 1853, according to information in the Tenth Ward record of members. In that source her surname is spelled Meeks. The 1880 census lists her birth year as 1818.
