  • Evidence from genealogical records proves that Mary Ann Persons and her children traveled to Utah sometime between 1861 and 1864. Her son David was born in Iowa in 1861 and the first documentation to place her in Utah is the birth of King L. on 12 Aug. 1864 in Utah. Further research is needed to determine the year they came to Utah and the name of the company they traveled with.
