  • Catherine sailed to America in 1863 on the ship Amazon with her mother Catherine Thomas and siblings Sophronia Moore and Samuel Thomas.  The first documentation to place her in Utah is a rebaptism in the Slaterville Ward on 2 June 1864, which was prior to that year's emigration season.

In the entry for her husband, Thomas Shore Wadsworth, in Pioneers and Prominent Men, it is noted that she traveled in the Ricks company, which came in 1863, but further research is needed to verify that.

On the ship her surname is spelled "Moir" and on her death certificate and Find A Grave website her surname is "Wadsworth."
