  • Sophronia traveled with her mother, Catherine Thomas, and siblings Catherine Moore and Samuel Thomas. They sailed to America in 1863 on the ship Amazon and the first documentation to place them in Utah is Catherine's (daughter) rebaptism in the Slaterville Ward on 2 June 1864, which was prior to that year's emigration season.

In the entry for Thomas Shore Wadsworth, in Pioneers and Prominent Men, it is noted that the family traveled in the Ricks company, which came in 1863, but further research is needed to verify that.

On the ship her surname is spelled "Moir," "Thomas" on the 1870 Utah census and "Norris" on Find A Grave website.  She married Edward G. Norris.
