  • Sarah traveled across the ocean, with her husband, William, and infant, Evangeline, in the ship Marshfield, arriving in New Orleans on 29 May 1854. The first documentation to place the family in Utah is a rebaptism performed for her husband in the Salt Lake 19th Ward on 8 December 1854. Further research is needed to determine name of the company they traveled with. Sarah's birth date is confirmed by 19th Ward record of members (her rebaptism date of 27 January 1855). Later married a William Montgomery.
