  • Kari arrived in New York on 18 July 1866 via the ship Humboldt. Traveling with her on that ship was her aunt, Anne Halvorsen, sister of Kari's mother. Only Anne's name is on the overland company records, as head of household, but it shows that she purchased two adult food rations for that portion of the journey, indicating that Kari continued on with her across the plains. Her family search record indicates that she died en route but further information is needed to confirm that.
