  • Various sources list the family's surname as "Bleazard" and "Blazzard."  The 1840 North America ship manifest shows their surname as "Bliyard."  

    The inscription on John's gravestone shows his surname as "Bleazard," and the 1850 Utah census lists his surname as "Blezard."
