  • Only his name appears on the partial Journal History roster of the 1850 Woodruff company, but his ad, taken out in the Deseret News, confirms that he was in the Valley by at least the 1850 emigration season. His wife and three children are in his Salt Lake City household with him in the 1850 federal census, enumerated in early 1851, so it is assumed that they crossed the plains with him.
