  • The Mott family is documented in two different 1850 companies. As the companies often traveled closely together, it was not uncommon for families to move from one to another during their journey.

    After arriving in the valley, Sylphina married Merrill Wheeler and later, William A. Lawson. On the Roundy company roster, her name is written as Sophia.
