  • Elizabeth and Susannah sailed to America in 1866 on the ship American Congress.  Their names are listed as follows:  Willoughby Green, widow, age 59, and Susannah Green, spinster, age 22.

Overland company records only list Elizabeth as head of household. However, the notation showing she purchased 2 adult food rations indicate Susannah daughter was with her during this part of the journey as well. PEF records also confirm Susannah made the trip. She married Henry Gillins, who was an out-and-back teamster during this trip across the plains.

PEF and overland company and ship records all list her mother under the given name of "Willoughby.
