  • Ellen came to Utah between 1861 and 1863. She likely came in 1861, the year she sailed to America.  But the first documentation to place her in Utah are church ordinances performed in March 1864 which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to narrow the year of her travel.

    She could have traveled in the 1861 Young/Harmon/Kimball Company with her brother Edward and his family.  Her name is Ellen Hankam Wheeler in the Utah burial data base.
