  • Abraham and his wife, Marie, arrived in New York on 19 June 1861 via the ship Monarch of the Sea. First documentation to place them in the Valley is their rebaptism in the Salt Lake Seventeenth Ward in October of 1861. Their birth dates are recorded at the time of that ordinance. Further research is needed to identify the overland company with which they traveled.
