  • Louis initially traveled to the Valley in 1852. He served as captain of the first ten with the Miller company. Company records indicate his traveling group consisted of 3 males, 2 females and 6 children. Later he again traveled to the Valley, returning from a mission, captaining his own small company in 1859.
