  • In the 1850 Utah census he was living in Utah County with a 15 year old named Hannah.  He purchased Utah land on 4 April 1852 and at the time of the Bishop's Report this year he was living at Mountainville, Utah (modern Alpine in Utah County.)  A newspaper clipping in the Journal History on 5 April 1853, p. 1 reported Caleb as a member of the 6th Quorum of Seventy; he received a Patriarchal Blessing that same year.  He died at Santa Barbara, California.  Additional research is needed to identify the year he crossed the plains and the name of the pioneer company with which he traveled.
