  • The Long family arrives in New York on 5 July 1866 via the ship American Congress. Overland company records only list Elizabeth, as head of household. However, the notation that she purchased 3 1/2 adult food rations indicates that the rest of her family was with her for that part of the journey as well.

    Later death and census records list Eizabeth under a married name of Proctor.
