  • The Benson family came to Utah in 1851.  Their names appear on the 1850 Iowa census, which was taken in October 1850, and daughter, Lucy Almira Benson, was born in Utah in November 1851.  Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which they traveled to Utah.
