  • William was 18 when he and his 14 year old brother, George, traveled to the Utah valley. They were two of 9 children born to Israel and Sarah Stoddard. Most of the family traveled to Nauvoo together, but four of the children and both of their parents died before 1846. William died young and unmarried in 1855 in Bountiful, Utah.
