Alexander Mair
He and his family arrived in New York on 24 July 1866 via the ship St. Mark. On the ship records and overland company records, they are traveling under his mother's maiden name of Murdoch. The overland company record lists only Mary Sr., as head of household, but it shows that she purchased 4 and one half adult food rations for that portion of the journey. Further research is needed to identify the names of the other individuals in their traveling party. There is another name handwritten next to his mother's on one of the copies of the roster, but it is illegible.
