Amanda Thompson Baker
Genealogical and census records prove that the Baker family came to Utah in 1850. They had a child born in Iowa in 1849, then they were on the 1850 Federal Census in Utah and had a child born in Utah in September 1851. Her obituary says that the family traveled to Utah with a company of California-bound emigrants.
The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Amanda Baker Higley."
