Elizabeth Hutchison Moyes
Elizabeth was the widow of Robert Moyes. She and some of her children (John, Stewart, Margaret, and William) traveled from Scotland, arriving in New York on the ship Arkwright on 6 July 1866. Though only the heads of household are listed on the overland company's record, the number of adult rations of food purchased by Elizabeth is a good indication that all of the family members that made the trip by sea, also traveled together in the overland company. The roster indicates she purchased 6 adult rations. It is uncertain who the 6th adult was that was traveling with them.
