Evidence from genealogical records proves the Bishop family traveled to Utah in 1861. He may have traveled with the 1861 Ira Eldridge Company, but further research is needed to confirm the name of the pioneer company with which he traveled.
The years of his birth and death are confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone.
On the 1860 U.S. Census he is listed as Fred Bishop, along with his wife, Eliza Bishop.
