George Alderton

Son of Richard and Mary Ann Alderton.  He crossed the Atlantic on the ship Ellen Maria in 1853 with his parents and sister Charlotte.  All of them are listed on the original roster of the Cyrus Wheelock Company in the sub-division led by Captain Kendall.  George appears in the 1856 Utah census living in the Salt Lake 11th ward--the only Alderton in the entire census.  This suggests that his father and sister may have died before the census was taken and that his mother may have re-married.
