Helen Hardie Jenkins
Daughter of James Hardie Jenkins and Janet Laird Jenkins. They crossed the Atlantic on the ship Cynosure in 1863. Her name appears on the ship manifest with her parents, but is not included in the index to the ship passenger list. On the ship manifest and in the State of Idaho Death Index her name is spelled "Ellen" but in the branch records of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Crofthead, Scotland she is "Helen" (see Early Church Information File at the Church History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.) The pioneer company with which they crossed the plains was noted in local church financial records. Helen married John Finch.
