James Fairclough
James crossed the Atlantic on the ship Jame Pennell in 1849. In the 1850 federal census he was in the household of a Robert Cohen in St. Louis. He is listed in the Utah Territorial Militia records for 1851 and 1852. In the 1856 Utah Territorial census he was in the Salt Lake 7th ward and he paid tithing under the name James "Faircloth" in the 5th ward. Additional research id needed to identify the name of the pioneer company with which he crossed the plains.
