Joseph Young
The Young family Joseph, Elizabeth, Brigham, Ada and Emily arrived in New York on 14 May 1861 via the ship The Manchester. His wife's obituary indicates that they continued on the overland portion of their journey that same year as part of the Ira Eldredge Company.
A son Ferdinand is on the 1870 census with the family, however some records indicate that he died in 1856 in England. Further research is needed to determine if he, in fact, made the trip to Utah at some point.
