Layton Jacob Hatch

Layton had property in Salt Lake City in 1849 but he and his family were at the Middle Fork of the American River in California at the time of the 1850 federal census where his given name is spelled "Leighton."  Additional research is needed to identify the exact year he crossed the plains and the name of the pioneer company with which he traveled.
