Nancy Adair
First wife of William E. Horner. Her husband purchased land in Salt Lake City on 2 December 1851 so she may have crossed the plains with him before that date but the first documentary evidence to clearly place her in Utah is her re-baptism on 29 April 1855. The birth date we give for her comes from her re-baptism record. Additional research is needed to identify the exact year she crossed the plains and the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled. Census records spell her given name as Ncy.
